  • No, student status is not required. The Abigail welcomes all qualified applicants!

  • Yes! The Abigail offers individual, by-the-bedroom leases, giving each resident their own lease agreement and helping make off-campus housing in Columbus more affordable and flexible.

  • We offer studio apartments, 2-bedroom/1-bath apartments, and 3-bedroom/1-bath apartments in downtown Columbus.

  • Yes! Furnished apartments are available for an additional $50 per month, making move-in easier for students and first-time renters.

  • Utilities are billed separately through SimpleBills. Residents are also charged a one-time annual technology fee of $100 at the beginning of each lease term.

  • A $99 security deposit is required for all approved applicants. We also offer multiple application approval options depending on qualification status.

  • Our standard lease term runs from August 16, 2026 through July 31, 2027, aligning with the academic calendar for nearby colleges and universities.

  • Applications can be completed entirely online through our website for a fast and convenient leasing process.

  • Yes! Residents can either select their own roommates or participate in our roommate matching program.

  • Yes! The Abigail is a pet-friendly apartment community that allows up to two pets per apartment home. Breed restrictions apply, and pets must be under 65 lbs each

FAQ Student-International Questions

    • Foreign passport with I-551 permanent residency stamp (green card status) or with a valid work Visa, or with a Form I-94 or I-94A, Form 1-766 or F1 Student Visa.

    • Visa documents must be current and extend through the term of the lease. If the documents expire prior to the lease end date, the applicant is denied.

    • Copies of documents are to be uploaded to Entrata or Onesite.

    • If an applicant’s I-20 or F1 Visa documents are pending, proof of Visa application submission must be submitted with the rental application. Applicant must provide an approved Visa within 30 days of

    • Lease signing or the lease will be cancelled. Security Deposit will be forfeited as a cancellation fee if Visa documents are not provided or approved.
